Focus GEEW: ERCP from Basics to Master – Unlocking the Secrets of Interventional ERCP

Following the 40th edition of GEEW, we are excited to introduce a new era of educational activities with FOCUS GEEW, a series of single-topic meetings that delve into the intricacies of specific pathologies and endoscopic techniques.

What is FOCUS GEEW?

FOCUS GEEW meetings are one-day events, held 2-3 times a year, designed to provide healthcare professionals with an in-depth exploration of a particular topic. These meetings cater to both beginners and experienced professionals in the field, offering a unique opportunity to engage with cross-disciplinary experts from gastroenterology, hepatology, oncology, digestive surgery, and endoscopy nursing.

ERCP from Basics to Master: Honoring the Legacy of Michel Cremer and Jacques Devire

The inaugural FOCUS GEEW meeting, scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024, will illuminate the art of ERCP, reflecting our institution’s reputation in this technique. Michel Cremer, a pioneer in interventional ERCP, and Jacques Devire, who has maintained and enhanced his legacy, will be celebrated through a comprehensive program.

The meeting will feature:

• Practical short lectures on ERCP indications and techniques
• Didactic live endoscopy demonstrations
• Interactive quiz and Q&A sessions
• Panel discussions with expert insights

Our goal is to facilitate maximum interaction between participants and experts, enabling attendees to return to key points presented and exchange their perspectives.

Venue and Accessibility

The meeting will take place at the Auditorium De Genst, Building W of the Université Libre de Bruxelles Faculty of Medicine, campus Erasme, in Brussels (Anderlecht), close to the hospital (same location as the 40th GEEW).

While we invite our international audience to attend in person, we also recognize the importance of sustainable and budget-friendly alternatives. Therefore, the meeting will be accessible online through our website, with live streaming and on-demand access for one month after the event.
