Having an identity that represents us is an essential need for human life. Understanding who we are, which groups we belong to, and what our values, beliefs, and preferences are helps us live a more authentic life and increases our chances of success and happiness. A clearer identity contributes to defining how we want to present ourselves to the world, how we communicate, and how we are recognized by others.

This book addresses various aspects of the search for communicative identity, focusing on the trans, travesti, and non-binary population. Authors from diverse academic backgrounds and representatives of this population share their knowledge and experiences, aiming to provoke reflections on gender identity, educate the reader, and reinforce the respect and dignity that all people deserve, fundamental principles of human rights.
