As the US population undergoes significant demographic changes, midlife women are becoming an increasingly important group served by healthcare professionals. This necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the diverse medical concerns affecting women during this stage of life. The Midlifewomen’s Health 2023 educational activity aims to provide a multidisciplinary approach to caring for menopausal women, addressing the challenges posed by rapidly advancing research, technology, and pharmacology.

Expert clinicians from Massachusetts General Hospital will present on a range of topics, including:

  • Evaluation and management of mood disorders
  • Cancer survivorship and lifestyle medicine
  • Skin health and available treatment options
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) in aging women
  • Obesity management through behavioral and pharmacologic strategies
  • Cardiovascular health and digital innovation
  • Transgender medicine and early menopause
  • Menopausal hormone therapy, including novel non-hormonal options for hot flashes

Target Audience

This educational activity is designed for:

  • Physicians and advanced practice nurses in primary care
  • Gynecology, general surgery, internal medicine, endocrinology, psychiatry, gynecological oncology, cardiology, and preventive medicine

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
