The Need for a Comprehensive Guide

A lack of engagement with recent scientific research results, many of which exist in large numbers, may contribute to this situation.

This monograph aims to fill this gap and provide relief. The recommendations of the first German-language guideline for diverticulitis/diverticular disease, jointly developed by the German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) and the German Society for General and Visceral Surgery (DGAV), are taken into account.
