About Continuum

Continuum is the official CME journal of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), published since 1993. As an in-depth, clinically oriented review journal, we cater to practicing neurologists, residents, fellows, advanced practice providers, and neurology professionals. Each bimonthly issue is authored by experts in their field, covering a single topic area in neurology.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Component

The CME component of Continuum includes a 40-question posttest covering material presented in each issue, providing up to 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits of self-assessment CME (SA-CME) per issue.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) has reviewed Continuum and approved it as part of a comprehensive lifelong learning and self-assessment program, which is mandated by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) as a necessary component of continuing certification (CC).
